Lev Sergeivitch Termen (1896 - 1993)

Born in St. Petersburg (now Leningrad), Russia, Lev was a physicist, mad scientist, cellist and inventor of the Theremin and MANY other electronic instruments and devices... Termen also invented closed circuit color television, which he supposedly called 'farvision'. He had twin daughters, Lena (Helena), and Natasha (Natalia). Many famous people tried a hand at his new invention. Cary Grant, Shirley Temple, Jerry Lewis, Johnny Carson and Charlie Chaplain all played the Theremin at least once... In the movie, 'Theremin, an Electronic Odyssey', Professor Termen said that Albert Einstein played his Theremin as well...
